The Rally Sierra Morena has officially begun in Córdoba, returning to the European Rally Championship (ERC) after 35 years. The event, running from 3rd to 6th April 2025, is also the second round of the Spanish Super Rally Championship (SCER).
This year’s rally has attracted around 120 teams in the SCER and 82 in the ERC. Notable participants include World Rally Championship (WRC) figures such as Belgium’s Thierry Neuville and the Welsh’s Elfyn Evans. Spanish talents, including former ERC champion Efrén Llarena and Alejandro Cachón, are also taking part. Cachón’s participation was unexpected, as he replaced Iván Ares at the last minute.
The race covers 209 kilometres across 13 stages over three days. One of the most exciting moments will be the night-time urban stage at Paseo de La Victoria, right in the heart of Córdoba.
This year’s Rally Sierra Morena is a major highlight for motorsport fans, bringing top drivers and thrilling action to Córdoba. With its mix of challenging roads and city stages, it promises to be an unforgettable event.
